Red Doe Plantation - Clean Up

Pee Dee Paranormal decided to help out with some of the yard work that was so badly needed out at Red Doe. So we got in touch with Gretchen, she OK'ed it with Mr. Kendall, we gathered our equipment and decided to make a day of it. Hard work, good laughs and great food was shared by us all. What a day we had! Everyone was tired and dirty at the end of the day. But a few of us decided to hang out for a few hours later, just sitting around the campfire roasting a few marshmellows and sharing stories.

Around 1:30 am we decided to do a very quick walk through with the recorders and just take a few pictures. Marie and Mark went first. Their batteries died time they stepped into the little house out back. So they had to come back to the campfire and change batteries. They both stated that they had just placed new batteries in their recorder that day. They were gone approx 20 minutes or so. When they returned both said they had not picked up on anything.

Craig and I went next. We did not go through the little house but headed straight for the main house. Time we stepped in the door Craig tried to take a picture only to find that his new battery pack was drained. He had another one in his pocket so he was able to change it right there. We checked the battery indicater on both of our recorders to make sure they were ok. They were, so we continued on. We went through every room on both floors. We did note several cold spots in different places in the house. We also heard what sounded like metal clicking together as we made our way upstairs. Both of us thought the sound came from outside at first, then Craig felt that maybe it came from the bedroom we were standing by. Nothing was found that could have caused the noise.

We finished up our quick little sweep in about 20 minutes and decided to leave both our recorders downstairs in the house. Mine was left next to the door and Craig left his between the kitchen and living room. We returned about 30 minutes or so later to get them.

Below are EVP's that were captured from my recorder. Please note that we do not amplify or alter the EVP's. These are just as they came from the recorder. BUT...some of them are quite so feel free to amplify them once you save them to your computer or turn your volume up.

1. 05:34 - 05:41.5 Craig and I both had chills as we passed the doorway between the downstairs kitchen and living room area. I told him "you know that room's the one where we got the...the older man that asked 'who's out there' when we were out at the front windows." I then picked up a very rough sounding response. To me it sounds like "yes it was"

2. 10:23 - 10:34 We had just walked upstairs when we both heard a metal knocking sound.

3. 12:33 - 12:36 Craig had just made the comment that the hole in the top of the closet spooked him out ((Note: this is a common response from people about that area)). I said "Yea the 'Grudge.'" We then picked up what sounds like the same voice from EVP 1. It said "his name is Craig" .

4. 13:26 - 13:38 The caretaker had told us about a little girl spirit that is bothered by a male spirit there. Craig asked "is the man human?" About 10 seconds later there is what sounds like a little girl responding.

5. 14:02 - 14:14 Very loud knocking sound which caught me off guard. We concluded it was the floor boards cracking and popping as we walked through the doorway, so this one was removed.

6. 15:14 - 15:21 Craig said "I haven't even looked at any of these pictures I'm taking." Again we captured that same voice from EVP 1 and 3. This time it says what sounds like "watch it."

The house was empty at 20:50.0

7. 21:21 - 21:25 A cough from an empty house.

8. 23:37 - 23:40 Tile cracking in the back bedroom. It makes this same sound when you walk across the floor in that room, but no one was in the home at this time.

9. 23:45 - 23:50 Female voice - "want my house back"

10. 25:38 - 25:42 Did someone...or something... bump into something? ((House still empty))

11. 26:40 - 28:18 This one lasted for quite some time. It started with this odd bumping/vibrating sound. Then you hear what could be footsteps on the stairs and near the end you hear a little girl say something. ((**someone said the 'stepping" sounds reminded them of a little girl playing jacks.))

12. 29:21 - 29:26 Older ladies voice - "I got dem peas popped"

13. 30:20 - 30:25 sounds of laughter

14. 33:52 - 33:57 Little girl's voice again - "cold"

15. 35:59 - 36:15 Unknown sound, talking, then a click((unexplained))

16. 38:05 - 38:10 Girl's voice - "Praying" Not sure if that is what was said or not, could be "PLAYING" instead.

17. 42:56 - 43:00 Unknown

18. 44:40 - 44:44 Female voice - Unable to make out

19 49:09 - 49:17 Another unknown click and sounds of voices..

Even though we spent the day out there mowing, weed-eating, raking, chopping, pulling and anything else we could see to do, that old place still needs a lot of help. If you have the time to spare, get in touch with Mr. Kendall and offer your time and services. They could sure use the extra help out there!
